iPad Air 2 cases

The simple Apple flip magnetic flip case is £29.99.

There are loads of other options but almost no way of having a good look at them - so does anyone have any personal recommendations?

Not a stand-type one but I have a Herschel "Anchor Sleeve" case for my Mini and it's great.

    I've got one of these

    (though in black).

Nice quality leather, fits ipad snugly and keeps it tightly in place, and protects it from scratches.

Obviously won't protect it from being dropped down a set of concrete steps.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

I got the official apple leather case. Works fine, as in, protects against casual knocks, etc. Not completely bulletproof. R.

Also have the Apple leather case.
It is mostly fine although you do get two long smudges where the folding bits of the cover touch the screen.

If Cygnett made the Armour for iPad Air 2 I would buy one of those but they don't make it any longer.
    It was a brilliant case.

That looks nice, and way cheaper than the official Apple one.

When I got my new iPad Air 2 I looked around for cases but really struggled to find anything that looked like it would fit well and not fall apart after 2 weeks.

I ended up buying the official Apple one and haven't regretted it one bit.

I use a survivor case which totally protects the whole thing including the screen. It cost about £40 but worth it for the protection it offers at gigs. Might be overkill for home though unless you have kids

I've had a couple of Forefront cases off amazon, all of which have been dirt cheap but last pretty well. (Why a couple? Because I've got two iPads, and have wanted to try different designs, eg 360, origami, etc, not because any have worn out - they're all still fine).

I'm currently using one that's fake leather, but looks ok to me and is a nice snug fit. Tbh, at their prices I'd recommend giving it a try.

After all that I've ordered an official one.

Yes, it is too much money for what it is, but I can't be dealing with the faff of an aftermarket one if it doesn't fit perfectly.
