It seems to me that I have a plectrum goblin in my house who comes out at night and nicks any picks he finds lying around. I have a pot on the mantelpiece which I keep all my small guitar related bits and pieces in including plectrums however no matter how many times I put the picks in it, there never seem to be any there when I need them.
Lord knows the number of plectrums I've bought over the years should have filled the house by now, but can I find one whenI need it? Not a hope.
I look down the back of the chairs, dig through the draws, check the guitar cases and nada, nout, not a sausage and I always end up reverting to using a 5p coin. Perhaps Brian May was the first person to realise that the goblins are not interested in coinage and by opting to use a sixpence he knew he would never have to deal with this problem.
Perhaps a mousetrap by the pleccy-pot will catch the blighter?

Personally I check my pockets before I put something to wash.
By the way, on a sort of unrelated note, don't buy a Zanussi. Horribly engineered and use the most useless courier service in the world to deliver spare parts.
