    There's more to Hot Chocolate than You Sexy Thing, for sure. I got a greatest hits album last year and was impressed by how varied it is as well as the sheer quality of the songs and his voice.

    The most surprising thing is that the Sisters Of Mercy covered 'Emma'. I knew that anyway being a Sisters fan, but it always struck me as an odd choice, before I heard the original.

    Just heard the news on R2 on the way home from picking the kids up.  Simon Mayo led his show with Sexy Thing.  Bummer.

    He was a dude of the highest calibre.  He even managed to make that quirky little shuffle dance he used to do look coolasfuck...

    A beer to toast your passing Errol and my infinitely less cool shuffle in tribute  :-S

    Yeah mine too. She met him after a show at Newcastle City Hall in the '70's, while me dad went for a ciggy and 'let her get on with it'.

    I remember my Mum and Dad having a VHS compilation of all their videos.I'd have been about sixteen and I used to play it all time.Absolutely love 'Emma'.Great song.

    He seemed such a genuine,nice person too.
