    This isn't on the list, but it's something simple, and something that I have been known to sing.

    Well, sort of "sing".

    Anyone fancy it?

    (early Quo - Junior's Wailing)

    Brilliant song, especially for a Jam Session, i will happily play that one with you.

    Is it in 'A' ?
    It's up to you what key, it's you singing it so whatever is most comfortable for you.

    That's 10 songs now and then jam is this Saturday so I suggest we close this list now and call that the practice list for people who are coming.
    There is bound to be other stuff played, time for breaks, some improvised songs and there will be those who can just jam along to whatever gets played so we will be doing more than just 10 songs anyway.

    Everyone okay with that ?

    Nice "compact rig".

    I might be able to dig out some recording gear, but it's pretty old & low tech.

    cool I shall bring a few bits along then.. the Tascam DR-07mk2(top left of pic) does a fair decent job recording 24bit 44.1 WAV, obviously not as good as directly into a board but decent, I set it up near the band at weddings and it always does well.

    @strumjoughlamps
    Thank you that will be excellent.

    Can anyone print lyrics ?
    I thought I would have access to a printer so didn't buy one then to find out I don't have access to one at all.

    If someone can print lyrics twice for the ten songs above in red, there should be enough for everyone and chipping in for printing costs is easy.

    Maybe we could use a tablet but paper is easier because you can scribble notes and chords onto it.

    @TheOtherDennis
    Does quad have mics ?
    is the drum kit complete or does it need some bits bringing ?

    Do we know anyone with music stands ?

  • @Alnico - dunno, but I'll ask, and the kits are usually complete, but again I'll check if you like.

    And if I can find the lyrics, I'm happy to print some out for you.

    The drum kit is minus the cymbals, cos they expect the drummer to bring his own.

    And there are microphones.

    EDIT: got all the lyrics except CCR. Am I missing something with the title here? Can't find it anywhere, and when I do a search, all I get back is Creedence Clearwater Revival, which definitely ain't it.

    By the way, while I'm on, the studio is booked in the name of Dennis.

    I think 'Susie Q' might be a cover version done by CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival ).
    That's okay I can scribble those down, they ain't complicated lyrics anyway.

    Mics are good but no cymbals might become a problem.
    Do we have any actual drummers who are attending who could bring some?
    If not, I could maybe pull a favour and try to borrow some but (sorry for all the questions ) do they have cymbal stands ? Is it just the shiny gold bits we need ?
