Just tried to install the insider preview. It gave me some bullshit about missing drivers during the install, so screw it. I'll wait for the final release.

Have been testing it in a VM for a while now and it works well.

My son has it on his gaming PC and have had no complaints, and that PC was built

up from whatever spare parts I could get my hands on, and has not died once.

I put it on an old core2duo laptop that came with xp on it - works fine although the laptop could really use another gig of memory. Probably won't bother though.

I think they'll probably make a new copy of Solitaire to ship with it.

My machines are still running Windoze 2000, and XP. The next PC I put in here will have Linux on it.

As long as the system believes your windows is genuine during the update I'd imagine it'll be fine.

Microsoft are being clever as Windows 10 works across all their platforms from PC to Surface and Phone and Xbox as well as 'devices' which will include your TV, fridge, washing machine etc. Getting people to upgrade for free will hep them flog the phones, Xboxes and Surface devices and could hit Apple hard.

that is true, up until now i've only ever had 1 legitimate copy, there's no difference at all so no wonder they have decided to make it free. crapple will probably come out with the iplay (i had it first pick a different name bitches) then we will see what happens, they could flood the market then

Besides an updated UI, I don't see any significant reason to update from my existing Windows 7 OS. Everything works and I'm used to the quirks of the OS as is. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

That being said, although I'm far from keen on updating my laptop's OS, I would happily install any updates pushed to my android device.
