that way people will see it, vote it and it’s more likely to get done (if possible to do so). Some of the really cool stuff comes from this.

"Unfortunately, POD Go's semi-fixed DSP allocation wouldn't allow for hardcore polyphonic pitch algorithms. Helix/HX could, but it'd likely take up half of a single DSP (1/2 of HX Effects/Stomp or 1/4 of Helix)."
Line 6 have deffinately confused the lineup now, if that was their intention. The POD will be relevant to 90% of Helix users I suspect, who don't use the full Helix capabilities. There is no doubt the Go offers great value and a portable all-in-one gigging solution. If you can't get the sounds you want from what's available in the Pod, maybe you should take up another hobby.
On the flip side, I'm a bit gutted at how I can see for the first time, how this digital tech is going to consume how guitar is gigged in the future. I really like amps and pedals, but in 5 years from now, will people look at you as if you're a weirdo, if you turn up with a real amp for your gig? That Pedal Show is going to become, That Patch and IR Show. Sad times!
It's great on one hand that all these studios quality tones are so accessible now, but where's the secret sauce? Listen to any band from a bygone era and they talk about how they recorded in some random room, in a random location to get that special tone for the song or solo that can never be replicated.... now it's, I recorded it in my bedroom and sent the file to a bloke to manipulate. I do hope Dave Ghrol is right and music moves back to being imperfect analog again, but then again, when that method is so expensive to do and recorded music is losing its profitability, maybe moving everything to digital, even our instruments, is inevitable.
I have a HX Stomp and think it's a great piece of kit, however I'm not even scratching the surface of its capabilities. I think the digital pedals arem't that great, but the amps sound good, although never as if your amp is in front of you.
However I can great better tones from two decent amps and some real pedals than I could ever get from the Stomp. But maybe that's more to do with me.
Anyway, I'm refusing the digital movement. I'll be the annoying guy in 5 years that still needs to be mic'd, plays too loud, has a pedal board that takes up half the stage and refuses in ear monitors. Pub gigs will be the only analog sanctuary left, if any of them remain open after this.
Line6, I hate you for being so good!
Makes his own mad analogue synths and a massive modular synth. He plays it all live using sequencers and such.
Lugs half a ton of analogue gear to a gig.
He's very entertaining and a good musician and in the same anti digital camp as you !
*Though does understand the irony or not using a computer to be in YouTube

The Matrix stuff looks good but a bit spendy. Are the Alto or Headrush things any good?
Bandcamp
Spotify, Apple et al
Hang on a second.... Yamaha own Line6.... they make silent guitars, amps that sound good at low volume (THR) and are digitising amps to replace real ones!
Clearly Yamaha hates music and is trying to slowly suck the soul and fun out of it!
It's like Pearl Harbour all over again, only this time they are attacking the loudness of American gear, instead of their boats.
When is Ben Aflek going to step in and save the day?
Yamaha... I hate you!
