General
The Gretsch G5435T Electromatic Pro Jet Bigsby (Black) is a black
solid-body electric guitar, equipped with a Bigsby tremolo. Part of
Gretsch's Electromatic series, this amazing instrument offers you the
typically stylish Gretsch looks for a remarkably low price. This model
is slimmer than a classic hollow-body guitar, but still offers a
distinct semi-acoustic look and sound, thanks to an attractive arched
top, a chambered body and an impressive Bigsby tailpiece with tremolo
arm.
The characteristic Gretsch sound of the G5435T
Thanks to
its chambered body, the Pro Jet Bigsby is not only pleasantly light of
weight, but produces a tone that is reminiscent of the open sound of an
acoustic guitar. The body of the G5435T is made of basswood and fitted
with a maple top and a maple, sustain-enhancing set neck, resulting in
the inimitable Gretsch sound with its defined low-end and rich mids,
that goes so well with styles such as rock, rockabilly and jazz.
Black Top Filter'Tron and Bigsby vibrato
The G5435T Pro Jet Bigsby is equipped with two Black Top Filter'Trons: powerful pickups that provide the warmth and low-noise qualities of a humbucker, but also deliver the characteristically feisty tone of a single-coil pickup. As such, these Black Top Filter'Tron pickups provide you with a versatile tone that ranges from clear and undistorted to raw overdrive – whether you prefer fingerpicking or a heavier playing style, the Pro Jet delivers! Additional versatility is supplied by the subtle vibrato effects of the tremolo arm of this T-version of the G5435.
