Welcome to the great jazz and rockabilly guitar bargain, in exceptional condition.
Sure, the J6 is the guitar de jour on the jazz fora, and is capable of exceptionally authentic jazz voicings through a cool valve amp set flat - but it's also up for that lovely Scotty Moore/Sun Studios split pickup sound (naturally, with a little delay). The neck pickup is a peach, but there is sufficient poke from the bridge to worry the neighbours. Remember what Ted Nugent can do with a semi…

This is a blonde version from 1990 (according to the serial number), with beautifully faded gold plated hardware, and the original, non-W tailpiece which is just so much cooler than the later, blingier versions – the tailpiece, of course, references the Gibson heritage of these fine guitars. This example is in splendid condition, strung with 11-49s, and plays effortlessly.

So, if an L5-type guitar with traditional appointments reflects your taste - but your thirst for a beautifully balanced, full width jazz box suggests a more sensible price - this guitar urgently needs to find its way to your home.
Cash on collection (very much preferred) or bank transfer only, please. And if you’d like to discuss any aspect of the guitar, please text me on 07754 254299.
