I bought a deluxe years ago. the good points:

1. extremely light
2. incredibly low action
3. easiest guitar ever to play fast

Not so good:

1. Upper horn when seated
2. don't like the knobs
3. Trem not to my taste
4. 24 frets only I believe (I prefer 22)
5. Battery compartment is horrible and fiddly

I kind of stopped playing it in the end, preferring more 'trad' type guitars. It was unbelievably easy to play, but lacked a tad of 'Mojo' for me. Son no 1 went off the rails a bit and I gave it to him as an incentive to get his act together. I'm reasonably sure he's on a better course now, but he doesn't really play any more so it sits in his bedroom.
