Cigar box guitar just one question .

Any advice on getting over this would be appreciated thanks dazz

Do it the other way? So the neck runs same direction as battons that would look cool.

I didn't think of that doh! Suppose I could move the hinges too? Would I need to do that?

after having a look at the box again the slots in the lid are only routed in and don't go all the way through ,so i would be safe to cut the baton out just at the centre slat so the string will be free to move.
