Reluctant sale of a great amp but I'm only playing bass & acoustic these days so it's not getting used.

Award Session Blues Baby amp built in AF Custom Cabinets tweed cab, fitted with Jensen Neo 12" speaker. Sounds awesome at home or cranked up, and the TAD reverb is superb too. Very light at around 8kg. Early standard model.  £SOLD

Yep, but impossible to tell IMO.

Nice review in the current GandB. Basically an SS equivalent of a Blues Jr; I think some of the early ones were built into cabinets from donor Blues Jr's that had died.

Is that 22 solid state equivalent to valve watts? There is a difference

The review says ' It's slightly cheaper than a Blues Jr and also lighter despite its similar dimensions * but a rating of 22 watts means it should be able to compete for raw volume.'

The * is added by me - just to point out that the review version is in a Session cabinet and not the custom one on offer here and fitted with a Celestion G12 so the weight and size may be different. The review Session is 25lbs according to the magazine and a Blues Jr is 31lbs according to Google. Presumably the Jensen Neo fitted to the one in the ad was, at least partly, chosen for lightness.

Yep, the Jensen Neo and pine cab make this amp unbelievably light.

I've had a tweed Blues Junior in the past and the volume is definitely comparible.

This is my old amp, and fabulous it is too!

The amp is as loud, if not a tad louder than a Blues Junior. When I put it together and had a few guitar playing pal's try it, most thought it was a modded Blues Junior tone wise.

The speaker was chosen for weight purposes, and I already had it in storage
