Andy Summers Tele

Found myself watching this, cos I'm in Tele buying mood at mo..Not a police fan by any means,tho they did write some genius pop songs at the time. Anyway i knew Summers used an old Custom Tele, but didn;didn't realise just how modded it was. Basicly has a built in preamp, with variable gain and a phase switch, On paper it sounds like one of thoses 70's mods that shouldn't work, but somehow it does. Pity he doesn't play it full whack in case he clips the camera.

Probably not a difficult or expensive mod to do,tho I'd suggest a cheap used Squier rather than a '61 Custom
