Lacquer/paint error!

Hi. I've just stripped & re-painted a strat. I'd just put the first coat of lacquer on when I remembered I had intended to stencil-spray a symbol onto the body before lacquering it. How do you think it would pan out if I sprayed the symbol on top of the first lacquer coat and then put another 3 to 4 lacquer coats on top? Obviously not ideal, but would it be a complete disaster?

It'll be no different than if you'd done it on top of the colour coat. The first clearcoat should be so thin that you won't notice.

It should also stop any possibility of the stencil paint bleeding into the main finish colour at the edges, so it was an excellent decision :).
