The Red Dirt (TS) into the ODR-1 is useable but I always feel I completely lose what I like about either pedal.
ODR into Red Dirt isn't nice
TS and BB in any combination gets really nasally unless I turn the bass and treble up a lot on the BB but then I lose the sound I like of the BB by itself
I've never liked stacked overdrives
Overdrive into distortion is a different matter!
The Nobels doesn't have the midhump.
The BB can dial out the midhump
And the Zen is very clear in the mids
However I think their similarities as being smoother overdrives is why I don't like them stacked. Too much smooth!
I really like the BB because it can boost my Cordford and literally sound indistinguishable
At the end I find it imparts to much character.
Plus it reaaaally doesn't like the neck pickups in my Tele (twang king) and Les Paul (custom bucker)
BB Preamp into Nobels ODR-1 works great.
Set the ODR-1 low for a boost. I usually go low gain into high gain but this really does work well
