Incoming: Headphone shootout

Are the B&Ws efficient? I presume the ear pads are leather or leather substitute, my Senns are covered in foam which irritated the ear lugs! Looking for efficient comfortable and small cans. Possibly too much to ask for.

They go plenty loud enough from an iPhone, that's for sure. Earpads are all leather, yes

UPDATE! So enamoured was I with my P5s, that today I decided to return them and upscale to the P7s! Absolutely love Bowers & Wilkins headphones. Clarity and detail is incredible.

I like B&W's stuff, but from a trade point of view they're horrible, horrible people.

Oh really? That's a shame - love the aesthetic of the company as a whole, their products seem to be superb, and being UK you got a sense of pride.

Aye - not knocking the kit. Everything I've heard of theirs is excellent.

They're just not keen on grubby AV types.

Have to say, one of the ear pads on my P5s developed a tiny little crack in the leather, and they immediately sent me a pair of replacements without question. Was quite impressed on that front.
