Stone Roses. Perfectly nice music and John Squire clearly knows his way round a guitar but I don't get what the big deal is for some people.

Captain Beefheart.
Frank Zappa.
Graveyard.
Their name and image says they should - or could - be a retro 1970s doom band. They do indeed have a retro sound but to me it's more like late-'60s garage rock. I buy all their albums but, hand on heart, I don't really like them that much.
Sweet/impressive but ultimately unsatisfying.

I've never got Springsteen or Bob Dylan.
I'd love to love them - huge back catalogues, massively influential, some great musicians.
Can't stand Bruce's full on saxomophone filled wall of sound stadium stuff and the acoustic / quieter stuff just leaves me cold. Dunno why.
Dylan - can't get beyond the voice. Generally like his songs done by other people though.
My loss, I know ...
Placebo
Incubus
Skunk Anansie
I've owned at least two albums from each of them and really tried to like them… but couldn't.

I really liked Incubus for their first few albums, but then they got increasingly dull (although perhaps more successful and critically acclaimed). I bought at least one album too many.
Skunk Anansie's a good call, I never actually bought any of their albums but I could never see what all the fuss was about.
Mine is Bjork. Many people and musicians I admire love her stuff. I find it grooveless and hookless.
UFO
Thin Lizzy
Bear with me here.... good bands undoubtedly, both had great guitarists and classic live albums.
But I can never warm to their studio albums, no matter how much I might want to. They all sound a bit twee, production-wise, and have a lot of songs which just don't match up their best work.
