I have a CR120H and it's the same circuitry as the CR60 - stonking for hard rock, sludge, stoner, doom, southern metal, etc.  so if that's anything approximating what you like, I'd highly suggest checking this amp out.

Definitely. I used it for Paul Kosseff style low gain crunch and it's ace for that too.
