Would like to borrow an Empress Para Eq

I've recently purchased a "final run" VFE Rocket EQ  as on paper,  it had all the functionality I was looking for and, according to pretty well every review I read, was really quiet in operation. Unfortunately, mine isn't.

The Empress gets similar praise for being a very silent Eq (hiss free) but as I don't want to get caught out again, I'd like to be able to try one, at home, with MY rig before pulling the trigger.
I'd obviously cover postage and would be prepared to offer a security deposit if anyone would be willing to lend me theirs for a night.
Alternatively. I live in East Grinstead and work in East Croydon if dealing in person would be easier.
