What is interesting is that it's not in their usual pedal chassis.

tc do seem to like to find many ways to resell the same technology so , my guess, whatever this is it's the start of a new line but basically the Flashback, HofF , etc, repackaged into a new shape.

From hose colours it's looking like a whole new series.

My money's on OD, distortion and metal flavoured dirts

Not going to get much sound out of them when they aren't plugged in!

I wasn't impressed with the TC Electronic Dark Matter, so I hope it's an improvement on it.  It was unusual for a distortion pedal to have the clean bleed issue, maybe it's a soft clipping distortion?  I don't know, but my experience with it wasn't good.

It's not stereo so it's more likely to be a drive but 100mA is a crazy draw so maybe it's a toneprint distortion.

Could be a toneprint distortion / overdrive / fuzz pedal.

Manufacturers always err on the high side with power requirements.  It might not actually require 100mA.  Having said that that their drive pedals do specify a lower current.  This is the Dark Matter:

If that's the case it's probably modulation, or digital, or both.

Edit:  Whatever it is it will probably break just after the warranty is up, or before the warranty is up, or both like I had with 2 different Nova Delays.

Should've bought from Thomann then it's guaranteed 3 yrs, like my flashbackx4 which went tits up after 18 months so the nice Thomann poeple paid to have it sent back to them & returned a brand spanker to me after about a week for testing !

Their delays need 100mA and the Flashback's got 4 knobs.
So delay, reverb or some new design of looper.

Actually, their Ditto loopers are 100mA and have the sockets on the rear, so perhaps a new Ditto...

It's going to have 6 toneprint slots that can run in a chain and be any of the toneprint devices already released

Great service, did they do all that as the singer gave the crowd some banter between one song and the next? ;)

Getting broken gear replaced is great, but not ruining the flow of your gig or recording session for you is even better.

:D It has found a happy home on my pedal board anyhow @bingefeller - sounding good for smooth lead tones, which is what I was after. :)
