I quite like the body and neck, but all the chrome could do with toning down. Reminds me of a RayGun that has been white washed and only half cleaned up

I must admit, i don't mind the finish on the body, you know i like a weird finish - but it does remind me of 90% of shabby chic furniture and  wouldn't want it on the fretboard.

but budget hardware, and illegal logo's/descriptions won't help

The bridge assembly and the pickup ring completely ruin it.
Otherwise I could live with it.

I really like the finish on that - with some aged hardware and plastics, it'd be awesome

Doesn't the build quality put you off a bit? Surely that nut cant be working right being full of gunk like that?

I've just showed this to the missus.

She's a shabby chic expert and does a lot of her own.

She reckons it's Annie Sloan paint and wax.

She also described it as Shitty Chic.. so there you go ;)

Tone down the shiny bits and it would be rather nice. The body finish is really nice.

    Everything about it is awful.

It's so bad I think it's actually given me the herp.

  • I'm getting the impression that there's a little bit of Photoshop going on there. Looks like they've used a bit of unsharp mask to bring up the contrast in the body grain. You can see it on the headstock close up.

Or the digital camera could be from the 90's and the compression is bad.

    I almost like it..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I quite like the finish, but the necks look cheap and nasty - those sharp transitions at the heel and where the neck blends into the headstock.

I suspect the best place for it is probably hung on a wall as an ornament.

I'm sorry but that's a worthless title in my book. File with Feng Shui expert and aromatherapy guru.

Well, she's as much of an expert as any other middle aged woman with a selection of Annie Sloan paints and some badgers hair brushes is... ;)

And I value her opinion as she seems to not like most shabby chic stuff and agrees with me in it - therefore it's a good opinion :)
