 At my school we do a thing called HPQ, which is basically half a GCSE for doing a project and documenting it's findings. I decided to look at the alleged tonal differences between maple and Rosewood fingerboards, so I built this as a testing guitar! the necks were £50 each, and are absolutely outstanding for the price, satin backed and a nice bit of flame in the rosewood one! I picked up the loaded body for £40 and it all just came together! She plays brilliantly for the total price, and you can all hear her soon as part of my project involves blind testing you guys to see if you can hear a difference between them.

Great work. Maybe for the other half of the GCSE (?!) you could do a similar tone-based project on the different woods for the body - swamp ash versus alder, for instance

the whole thing counts as half it's a bit pointless really, seeing as it counts for nothing and takes time away from my other studies, i'd rather bump a B to an A than have an extra half GCSE... But hey ho! At least I can waste time on something I enjoy
