Tips for replacing active guitar jack...

The output jack socket on my aging EMG 81/85 ESP is crackling too much for me liking so it's time to do something about it.

I've only ever done any wiring/soldering on passive guitars and don't even know which is the correct type of socket I need to buy.

Any obvious differences I should know about before buying parts?

This is an older set-up so not the newer solderless EMGs....any tips or advice genuinely appreciated!

I've already got a couple of stereo sockets in my spares tray so that'll do nicely. Thanks for that!
