FT: Fender Blues DeVille

It's in good nick barring one thing, it's temperamental, so if you don't let it warm up there's an intermittent drop in volume you start playing. I've heard it's a common issue and an easy fix (a local tech quoted me £25) and it's due to the way the power valve sockets are orientated, but I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet, because there's no urgency - it works fine as long as it's left to warm up, which I'd do with any valve amp either way.

However I'll bear this in mind when asking for trade equivalents. These are listing at over £600 these days (dunno if any are selling at that price) and new they're over £800. I'd let this go for £450 cash. It comes with the footswitch and the brown cover. No tears or stains or foxing in the tweed or anything.

I can post if needed, but I'd expect it to be pricey, so collection is probably better if you can, I'm in Preston, Lancs.

For trade I'm after a valve combo, ideally lower-powered but still loud enough for a band situation. With either two channels or low headroom on a single-channel. I'd also consider a head and cab.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Not right now, sorry. I won't get to it again before Monday. It's got general signs of wear (i.e. a few smudges here and there) but no actual damage. It's still got the plastic on the Fender Badge.

  • Would you be interested in a trade for Blues Deluxe? Obviously the same amp but 40watts and a 1x12? I'm based on the Wirral so not too far away.

Update: The above issue with cutting out will be fixed, so the amp I'm trading will be fully working.

Also I'm now interested in trading for a Marshall halfstack. I have an epiphone 355 in tv pelham blue with a bigsby in a branded hardcase to add to the deal for the right one, I'd estimate the trade value at around 750-800.

Alternatively if you want to buy I'd take 500 (for the combo only).
