"But what's in the box?" I hear you ask.
Inside was this wee beauty.
It's an Edwards Limited Model
I've been on the hunt for a nice LP type guitar for a while, but didn't particularly like the Epiphones or Vintages I tried so when this appeared in the classifieds I had to take a look.
Here's a better picture of the body.
I've only had it an hour or two, so obviously it's very early days.
First impressions: the finish is excellent & it plays well.
The pickups are Seymour Duncan Sh1 & sh4, they seem well matched & not as hot as I'd thought they might be. The guitar sounds rich & warm on the neck & obviously has more attack on the bridge.
All in all I'm very happy.
Thanks again to Ross.
Only one question. Does it need a pickguard?

Congrats.
From what I've read, the quality of all Edwards guitars is very high (mine certainly is)- even the ones made in China were made by Japanese staff working in a factory in China to meet high demand. Apparently ALL the Edwards guitars were finished & QC'd in Japan by the ESP staff there- only the wood work and painting was done in China. There's an exhaustive thread about it on mylespaul.com
I'm no expert, so will happily listen to what anyone in the know can tell me.
Nice meeting you too Phil
