My favourite guitar by far and one I don't want to sell but I've got to raise cash for the kitchen and of course I've bought my wife the Gaz 335 which wasn't part of my plans !
It's got a replacement pickguard , I have a new pearloid one you can have but decided against putting it on as I love the mojo as is. Everything else is original including the Seth Lovers .It's got dinks, scratches , wear etc but that's what drew me to it in the first place !
When I bought it the guitar was appraised, dissected and photographed by a local Fender rep and luthier so I've got his report on its provenance alonside lots of gut shots, heel stamps etc if anyone wants to see them.
It plays amazingly and sounds incredible and I do mean that , you are welcome to come and try it as it does Jazz, Blues and Country of course but put it through my boogie and it does the hard rock stuff superbly too.
My thinking is that I can sell this and buy a reissue and put the balance towards the house. The RI may only be 1/2 the guitar this is but my kitchen will be sorted and I'll have an easier life :-)
Not sure what these go for nowadays but I know what I paid for it so am looking for £2800 including a hard case.

This new kitchen is killing me at the moment but when I bought these it was on the understanding that I'd sell them when we needed to do stuff to the house. That time has now come :-(
The thing is I am a back room hacker , I used to teach a bit but haven't been in a band for 20 years so the guitars I have greatly outweigh my ability to get the best out of them. In the hands of a great player I guarantee this would sound ridiculous as even I can tell it sounds special but I can't justify keeping it.
The pickups are very well regarded by many people. I believe the adjustable pole pieces are made of Cunife - an alloy of copper, nickel and iron. I'm told that Cunife is a bit of a nightmare to machine (to put a thread on the pole pieces) - so the pickups are difficult/costly to make nowadays - and, I could be wrong, but I don't think Fender has made anything quite like them for many years. Hence, the pickups are worth a bit of cash (as is the rest of the guitar).
A few years ago, I was on a Fendery-ish forum and asked one of the Fender CS guys if the CS pickups in the relevant CS Teles of a few years ago were the same design. I seem to recall that he pretty much said they (Fender CS) didn't like the sound of the original designs - so they'd improved them for the recent CS Tele Deluxes etc!!! Of course the usual coterie of sycophants revelled in seeing the fairly blunt response that the big man from Fender gave me. I didn't respond... as life's too short... and I generally like Fender as a company/product. However, to me the bottom line is... there are people prepared to pay a lot for a set of those originals - so I guess that's good enough proof of their appeal (so you can guess whether I set much store by the answer Fender provided to me!)
GLWTS.
It's a no from me though ! (in best Simon Cowell voice !)
Make me a near offer !
