I don't think heel down is an 'event' that can be used to trigger anything
I think it would just be a sweep to 0%
So I just use heel down as a faux off setting
I must admit, it's a tremendous unit and did everything I wanted it for, Ijust got bored of not swapping and changing pedals!!!!
Every time I abandon multifx and build a pedal board it ends up being massive to cope with all the FX I need
Then I really miss the lack of expression pedal control across multiple pedals at once
And the surface for failure becomes much bigger
Even wee stupid things like the knobs on the pedals getting jiggled is a PITA if you do a lot of gigs
I hate changing things
For me the Helix is proving much "better" than the amps-and-pedals setup I had before.
I have a lot of amps and a lot of pedals
For me the platinum standard is 'what do I gig'
Part of it is convenience but if it couldn't cut it then I couldn't do it
Having said that I am using a valve power section and normal cabs
Give you an example of what gets left behind when I take the Helix out
Friedman BE100
Matchless DC 30
Bad Cat Hot Cat 30
DR Z Maz 38 anniversary
Mesa Boogie MKIV
Fender Twin
Blackstar Artisan 30 and 15
Budda Superdrive (pre peavy)

So I'm not just someone who doesn't know what a good amp sounds like ..
