    I said this in one of the film threads too, but this is something I liked about the new Jungle Book. In the original, Shere Khan is a baddie, but quite a refined and unthreatening one… in the new version, he isn't - he's *very* scary. Kids won't come away from it thinking that a tiger is a big stripy pussycat - it's a terrifyingly powerful predator that can kill you in seconds.

    Problem is that if you cull them the animal luvvies get upset. I don't think many human beings have any concept of the muscle mass and predatory ways of animals.  Good to know that sticks work, like they do on ferrel dogs and that everyone is holding on to everyone else so they aren't torn down.  Them country Indians are incredible tolerant.  It wouldn't happen in the UK for sure, a flash tooth and they'd all be instantaneously put down. I fucking hate cats.
