...yes, he of shouty-hating-bass-players fame:
Anyway, met him for a beer on Friday. Some observations:
1 - He's a real hoopy frood. Seriously, had a really good night chatting about all sorts of shit.
2 - In the pub at least, he's
almost as shouty as he is on YouTube. It was quite comforting.
3 - He's the only person of at least
vague fame that I've met who is actually tall. I think he was the tallest of us there, by about 9 inches.
4 - He's Canadian, but almost as bad at drinking as most Americans. Two pints of Sam Smith's Alpine lager, and we had to go for a walk...
Anyway, he's a really nice guy if you ever get the chance to meet him, and very interesting to talk to; there were none of the awkward pauses you often get when you meet well-known folk. It was a bonus that he also plays Elite: Dangerous.

Football is rubbish.
I just noticed him mentioning he was up for a meet-up on Friday night; wife and sproglet fancied a girls' night and I was at a loose end, so I just hopped on a train and we went to the nearest pub to Holborn tube station.
I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd
