I remember that there was a charity bash/jam night a while back somewhere in the Midlands or SW (?) and that it was both well attended and, by all accounts, a lot of fun. Can anyone remember who the movers and shakers were?
I've been pondering ganging together with some of the SE-based 'faces' to try and put something together down this way: room/hall with stage and bar, some food and a full rig so that we can go beyond just ogling each other's gear. I know it would be much more complicated than our simple gearfests, but we have a lot of forumites down here (had to limit places to the last gearfest) so I'm sure it could work.
A charity angle would give an additional dimension...
I'm after organisational tips and learnings from similar events in 't past, so I can avoid making mistakes that have happened before... PM me or post here. Fanks.

Beagle being involved certainly rings bells. Have either made it across the border into the Peoples' Republic of the Fretboard?

@mctoot
I was refering to the "have either made it across the border....?" bit. TTony provided a link to Ian/Beagles profile in his post.
Maybe only worth half a facepalm as Manic wasn't linked...(but he has posted on here)
