The Red Bulls going up against each other was the best thing about the race. Although I felt sorry for Lewis suffering yet another mechanical failure it looked in grave danger of being a "Merc steams off into the distance and wins from the front" snoozefest.

Rosberg wins 1 of the remaining races and comes 2nd in the rest = WDC
Hamilton needs 5 wins assuming Rosberg comes 2nd in all of them.
Rosbesg will go for a win asap and then sit in 2nd place safe in the knowledge that he's not stressing the car and the others can't catch him

It doesn't mater how good Hamilton is when someone on his side of the garage has more thumbs than an old copy of Escort.

And Vettel's had his card marked by Ferrari - he must improve both his driving and his attitude to keep his seat after the end of the 2017 season. I wonder if Vettel and Hamilton might swap places at some point?

It's all a bit weird. I'm still trying to work out if the cartoony picture of him and Saintz is the 'behaviour' or whether that was the initial response to criticism of some other, previous 'behaviour'. At the moment, it looks like a shitstorm in a potty.
Haven't seen the Japan race yet, but read the report on the BBC web site. Rosberg is looking increasingly like the WDC winner this year. He's already banked the win he needed to take the title with second places for the remaining races, so he now has the option of playing it safe if he needs to. Puts Hamilton very much on the back foot and relying on more than his own racecraft to retain the title.

Why would he chance it going to Ferrari for 2017, a season of many technical changes, when Ferrari have consistently shown over the last few years that they're very poor at adapting to new regulations?
The problems in Ferrari are down to Ferrari. They chose to spunk a load of cash on Kimi, there was the embarrassment a few years ago when their wind tunnel wasn't working correctly, numerous management changes, James Allison leaves, and you have to ask them about their young driver programme which hasn't delivered anyone as yet for them (Perez and Stroll both left).
Vettel dull? Bollocks. Love the comments coming out about him being a whiner and crashing. Kinda similar to the comments Hammy got in his first season with Mercedes. All drivers who are around for some years have shit years and get accused of moaning at some point.
The reason Germany is backing away from F1 isn't because Nico and Seb don't flock to hang around with Kylie Jenner. It's because Germany has forms of motorsport that they prefer and they won't carry on propping up shit overvalued Grand Prix events forever. Hardly takes a genius to wonder why Bernie has a pop at anything Germanic given the legal fun he's had over there.
And what is Bernie doing for F1 other than walking away with a fuckload of money and the event in a shithouse state? This is the same guy who is so cutting edge and on the ball that he doesn't like social media and that young fans don't matter.
Why Lewis gets recognised more than other drivers... ahem. Who was that other black F1 driver again?
