Well, I scratched the Gibson itch and got myself a nice Christmas Present(No one else is gonna spend that much on me). Picked up this beauty today...2017 Les Paul Classic, and an awesome price of
£1415, list price is £1699, a few stores have this reduction, the guys in the store were surprised, they have price matching software but hadn't seen it.
Seems totally fine and sounds wicked. Gorgeous Finish and feels smooth as hell. I like the 60's neck, not too slim at all. I love the sound of the 57's pure classic rock heaven...to my ears anyway.
I was in turmoil over choosing the Ocean Green Burst or the Goldtop, the Green is beautiful too, but this won, mainly because the Green was £1503
but I do likes a Goldtop.
Gonna bang it into the Badger for a proper spin, but it passed all the tests in the shop. The Case is a beauty too and that lovely smell....ahhhhhhh.
This will definitely be the last major purchase for some time.

Happy Goldtop Day!
Nice score. How does it sound?
Goldtop FTW :-)

Feels a bit odd playing one though, hardly ever touched one before, the 24.75 scale length and the neck angle are all new to me, but it still feels great.

Haha, the guy in the store who dealt with my payment was saying how much he liked it and that a Bigsby would look killer on it.
I prefer them without though
Get some nice photos of it in natural light - it'll look ace
Nice score.
There you go @MatthewShreddery
