This is the 23rd SOLO of the Month (SotM) Challenge, being run by @Antique_Guitars and @TTony.
We give you a new backing track to solo over every month. The backing track will be a maximum of 1.5mins long.
You download the track from our soundcloud page, record your solo over the top of it and then submit it to us.
Challenge #23 is now open, and remains open for submissions until 24th January.
Voting opens on the 25th of the month, and closes on the last day of the month when the winner will be announced.
Here is this months backing track (you can download it from soundcloud)

@Antique_Guitars the format is M4a which won't play in Reaper. I think I can convert it to mp3 but I thought I'd let you know just in case others have problems.
Importing into Audacity and exporting as an MP3 also works fine.
I did a bit of Googling and there's a simple fix. Simply renaming the file extension as mp4 instead of m4a makes it work in Reaper.
I think previously other submitters of the backing tracks just chose not to enter.
I Googled m4a to mp3 it was the first result on page 1
@Antique_Guitars I got a strange mail delivery failure message (see below). I sent it to 'solos@theFB.co.uk' but the delivery failure message references a different email address. I think this is a similar message to the one that @mellowsun got for the RawRotm entry.
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error.

In my defence we're having our kitchen done and my music room is a makeshift larder/store room. All my outboard kit is packed away and so this month I'm going to do everything in the box - a new thing for me. Might struggle to meet the "usual standards" ...
Changed my mind on what I was doing with this several times before settling on this approach. Still unsure if I've gone the right way but hey, I've had fun trying different ideas out
