Wouldn't the nickel covers affect the sound a little as well? They do look cool.

I mean, as with all vintage guitars you have to judge each example on its merits. I'd rather have an earlier one though.
This one has a very interesting slabby, quite Braz-looking board which is unusual for '67, it's generally held that they went to Indian by mid-'66 or so.
I have a few other observations but the really crucial thing is whether this is a pencil neck, or not.
To be honest, it's not for me anyway, the neck would be the issue, I can almost guarantee it'll be too thin for me. I can do Gibson necks up to about '65 then as soon as the go to the narrow nut, I'm out.
If it were an early '60's though, it'd be a different kettle of fish.
Anyone know if the Custom Shop did/do a black one?

Looks a lovely guitar. I'm with some others who've chimed in and would like an all black earlier one ala Bernard but if I had to under duress then I'd accept something like this at a push, sort of, if I had to, kind of. Perhaps
Get it bought.

I'm anther one who doesn't mind those late 60's necks. The only thing I'd change would be to put regular black/silver reflector knobs on.
Are they both ES330s? Was there a year when they changed over, or were they parallel options?
Sorry, I don't know much about Electro-Spaniards, but I'm finding myself increasingly drawn to them as I get older!
Personally I would rather have any colour on an ES rather than black.
Opaque colours cover up all the wood grain.
Now, this one is a beauty if wood grain/figuring is your bag....

Goth? Bloody Goths?
I'd imagine you'd feel the same on a nice P90 loaded 50s Custom??
Thought so....
