- Write a guitar riff
- Keep it to a maximum of 50 seconds
- Submit it to us by the closing date
Challenge opens on the 1st of every month, and closes on the 24th of the month
Voting opens on the 25th of the month, and closes on the last day of the month, when the winner will be announced.

I was trying out a new amp sim , thm overloud inside Auria. I was enjoying the sound I was getting , the riff was more or less the first thing I played and I pressed record.
I messed around with it afterwards but that weird right channel thing won't go away, the preset I used was called guitar hero, so I think the sim is basically saying "who are you trying to kid "
Here's my entry anyway
Electro nylon into HoF reverb and then into the Tascam DR-100
Here's what I got:
Let me know if I should send again.
For those interested, I jotted down the signal path. This is my (very) low volume DI'd setup that has evolved organically over the years. It seems complex but I can be up and recording with the flicking of a couple of switches, bringing the faders up on the desk and pressing play on the minidisc recorder. I have the luxury of a home studio (-come-office, -come-workshop) with everything permanently set up.
Guitar (Ibanez AGS-83B), SD Jazz humbucker, bridge position
