I didnt think it sounded bad from the NAMM clips but at £6500? It's madness.
its a steal, in comparison to the £10K super eagle JM signature PRS...
Times change and the art of monetising changes too.
Thats my cynical 2 pennies worth anyhow.
If I was a rich star and had genuinely put time and effort into it, I'd want it to sell in large numbers, like the 5150
The OD tones on this amp sound very naff to me, I have several pedals that do a better job, what's the point when you 're playing a clean blackface and can use any pedal into the front?
From the video, the clean tones on this £7k amp are no better (in fact not as good I think) as my Ceriatone Blues master 50 HRM, which is their JM-style blackface dumble clone. I nearly bought a Two rock afterwards, but they sounded no better (although it was good that the studio pro could get the sound with cheaper speakers than the Celestion golds that the BM50 needs)
Suggest we move on
Do you think on a forum for dentists there is a PRS discussion section?
The only dentist I know who plays guitar has just bought a PRS.
Both he and Paul always come across as passionate and knowledgable. I suspect if you can afford it this is a great amp.
I agree with @bingefeller about the bashing. I don't see the problem.
As a halo product this will s3ll a lot of PRS SE and Son zero amps.
