They saved up for three years to buy it for me. It was only many, many years later that I cottoned on how much of a financial outlay it was for them, on working-class wages.
So yeah, keeping that one! Everything else is pretty much just stuff.
Guitar-wise it's my Gibson 336 (21st present) and my mongrel of a strat that's been with me forever.
He was also a fantastic artist and good with his hands.
He carved a model mosquito and a spitfire from an old propeller that had been scrapped.
When he returned from the war he had them mounted on bases and put them in his living room.
He died last year and passed them to me. They are cherished.

It's of no great value but I've always liked it and was dead chuffed when dad gave it to me when I bought my house.
