As a kid these were my bete noire ..........I was obsessively scared of them and they were the stuff of many a nightmare
Even in adulthood I have still had the occaisional bad dream about them.
Of course, as a 5 year old it doesn't occur to you that if you ran upstairs that they would be met by an insurmountable obstacle, or indeed, that if your parents invested in a fashionable (for the time ) shagpile carpet for the hall that it would really fuck them up !
Who else lives in fear of the metallic acne ridden automatons with death-ray arms that look like kitchen egg-whisks ?
OR other childhood fears ......do tell .....

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?
I'm all tough and manly so the only thing I fear is fear itself.
And heights.

Football is rubbish.
Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
Camping.
I sneakily watched Friday the 13th on VHS when I was 6 or 7 years old. Didn't like camping for a while after that.
Yep, I recall an episode, the last in a Tom Baker series, just as he was wrapping up where they suddenly burst through a brick wall next to him and scared the life out of me, it was a set up for the next series as they were to be his nemesis.
It really got to me at the time.
Actually he still does.
Yeah, he's another scary little fucker. I'm really not comfortable with dolls for some reason.
Thanks, that's a top tip. I bought a cardboard one but it just wasn't cut out for that sort of thing.
