I have decided reluctantly to sell the first scratch built guitar built by me....I am trying to set up a very small custom guitar shop more as a hobby, however you never know. TimberGuitars is what I am called and this is a 'Hurricane' (named as my grandfather used to make the wooden fuselage spars on the fighter in the war)
Ok so whats it Worth??
This is not my first foray in Guitar building (parts casters mostley) however this is the first fully scratch built custom built by myself. This guitar is built from quality parts and quality woods. specification below
Body - Two piece Mahogany body natural oil finish, strung through body
Neck - three Piece laminate neck (bought the blank some time ago from @TTony) hand carved ‘C’ shaped neck dual action truss rod
Finger board - Zebrano with medium frets and mop dot inlays, 12” Radius
Nut - chrome Roller nut
Machine heads - Locking Sperzel
Neck Pick up - Seymour Duncan SH-4
Bridge pickup - Seymour Duncan JB Jazz
Bridge - Roller style tunomatic
electronics - two 500k mini CTS Tone and Volume pots, 0.022uf paper in oil Capacitors, switchcraft three way switch
Chrome pick up rings
It will be supplied with a quality Hardcase as well
This has taken me around three months to do and i think that its turned out well. my intention is to use the funds from this to get the next one up and running (already Started)
Price wise how does £1250 sound???. Like I say really need the cash in order to pump back into the next build.
If you interested please pm me and I will send over some more photos
