It is very musical; by that over used phrase, I mean that it can almost coax and inspire songs, riffs and ideas out of you.
Lovely clear tones, huge variety of sounds BUT.... and this is a deal breaker for me, difficult to store presets outside of midi. It does have great analogue sound and feel though, and i loved the vibrato option underneath the core sound.
Im gonna return it, simply because I've spent a bit lately (the Moog included) and probably prefer the Big Sky overall (and know it better).
I'd buy one again though, maybe at used money prices.
I have it running off its own 200ma channel, and the pedal draws 150ma. It's shorting the channel upon power up, yet if I detach the power cable then re-attach it, it all works as it should.
How queer!
Ooh it does sound bloody wonderful.

I spoke to Neil at the Edinburgh store and he checked the other one they had in stock which was also kind of scratched up straight out of the box.
So they got straight on to Meris and they're going to sort a replacement for me but I can continue to use this one in the meantime. Can't say fairer than that really!
Ouch. This could get pricey.
Although... hmmmm, two tier you say...
Could work nicely, especially if you route synths through too
