I rather like "Jimi Hendrix's Stratocaster" though. It's that sort of factual accuracy that I really enjoy about History Channel documentaries.

That ain't ever go anything but up in price given its provenance / blues history ?
I always wonder though given these expansive collections, just how many of those vintage instruments would actually knock me for six with their tone / playability?
At some point the collectability overrides the actual tonal merits of the instruments?
I read that John Entwistle used to have Fender models (strats, teles etc..) for every year in every available colour?
