So, I have a GSPBASSES thinline Strat body in Mahogany with a quilted maple top, that I finished in Green ink and Tru Oil, I've never liked the finish, so I have stripped the Tru Oil with paint stripper which went very well, it needs the ink layer sanding off the quilted maple top and a general all over sanding, but the question is, how do I remove all the paint stripper residue so it does not affect the next finish? Stripper is water based, but I'm loathe to run it under a tap!......
Any suggestions guys?
Refinish will be stain then either Tru Oil or Wipe on Poly......

That will fix the quilt top at the same time.
Sorry . If the stripper is water-based, wet kitchen roll should take it off without saturating the wood too much.

Oh. Apart from that.
Thanks!
I always degrease wood with a fast evaporating solvent after stripping. It ensures no residue gets left behind and gives you a clean substrate to work on.
