Just got a lot of introductions to do now.....!
We've tried doing introductions the "proper" way - y'know, keep the new dog in a separate part of the house for a couple of days so they all get used to each others' smells, supervised interaction only etc. We've tried this many times over the years, but it always gets fouled up by one or more of them just barrelling in and the dogs all sorting themselves out.
With Coco, the Akita, she totally ruined it straight away. Just walked straight into the house, opened the lounge door, claimed the crate for herself and sat there while the others came and had a sniff. That was it.
Hope it goes smoothly for all of you

All socialised and running around like a pack.
She is staying.
Absolutely gobsmacked. And to think she was minutes from being put to sleep. Unbelievable.
Made my day man.
Have an amazing night feeling brilliant about what you did.
Very well done, you and Mrs B.
I may need a lie down.
You're a top lad. Heart warmed.
For those of you that want to know how a timid, nervous, anxious and scared dog reacts when settled into a rescue home... well....
Cheeky cow....
