- EDIT - NOW SPLITTING FOR PARTS AND MORE ADDED - SEE BELOW -
So, with another Tele partscaster half way built, and having realised I prefer the tele partscaster I already have, I’ve decided to move this one on and make a little room. I’d rather sell it all as one - however if there is no interest will break it back down and sell it as parts.
So have a look at the pics. It’s a Bigsby B16 equipped Tele, with a Guitarbuild body, Allparts neck, Oil City and Fender pickups, and 5 way switching. I’ve detailed the parts below. I’ll sell it as a job lot for £350. Note that it does need a setup, and I have found the wiring a bit noisy - so not sure if it needs shielding or grounding properly. Further info (good and bad) on all the individual parts is below. IMO it looks fecking awesome but needs a decent setup.

Details and prices if sold separately:
- Pickguard: El Dorado leather hand-tooled. These sell new for a mental $100: £25 NOW SOLD
- Body: Guitarbuild pine - finished by me in tru-oil and bro-wax following the WezV technique - albeit to a much more amateurish standard! Has an unfortunate dent on the top as pictured - and various smaller scratches though nothing as serious. If someone wants this separately be aware that it is drilled for a rocking bridge and will come with the thimbles fitted - these may be tricky to take out as they were a tight fit. The holes are wider than a standard tele control plate so would need filled if you want to make a standard tele out of it. Beautiful grain.: £30 NOW SOLD
- Neck: Allparts TMO FAT. These are awesome chunky necks - an inch thick all the way along. A few things to note. 1. The nut isn’t glued in and was one of my first attempts at cutting one. You can have it, but may want to do it properly. 2. I’ve rounded off the fret ends as these come from the factory quite sharp. I think I did a decent job, though I did it after Tru-oiling it and went through the finish around a few frets (see pic - though not massively obvious). Basically do not expect a pro job! 3. The tuners are for sale separately (see below) but the ferrules will be included as they’ll be a bastard to get out. 4. It’s been drilled for this tele with the shim. I can’t think that’ll make much difference if fitted to a normal tele - but will leave it to others who know much more about this stuff to confirm. Price reflecting all of this: £60. NOW SOLD
- Bigsby USA B16 plus genuine Bigsby Neck Shim. As pictured. Doesn’t come with a bridge but includes the shim and all screws, spring etc. The screwdriver slot on one of the end screws is quite worn - limited life in it - though it’ll be simple to find a replacement if required. £100. NOW SOLD
- Tuners. These are the nice Axesrus kluson deluxe copies. Not including the ferrules (see above). £15. NOW SOLD
- Wiring. Solderless. 5 way switch. Bought on here some time ago. £25 (not including control plate/knobs but including the switches and pots obviously). NOW SOLD
- Bridge Pickup: From an AVRI 52 reissue - it’s unbranded but I used to have a 52 reissue where it came from. £25. NOW SOLD
- Bridge: this is from an AVRI Jag or Jazzmaster (can’t remember which) so a genuine fender part. Note if you are interested in the lot that it is currently sitting on two wooden shims inside the thimbles - as the screws aren't quite high enough on their own to suit the neck angle. £25
- Neck plate and Screws: unbranded. £5
- Control plate and domed knobs. £10.
