Very happy with mine and I've been through a fair few overdrives..
Skreddy are making them again now after a long period when they weren't. Well worth checking out.
Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.
The non Waza versions are fine too and you could get both of them for the price of one Waza, and they're available second hand pretty much constantly.
Two sections, each with interchangeable cards, plus probably the most useful filter I've ever used on a pedal.
The Boss Blues Driver is a goodie, especially the Keeley-modded one and if you ride your guitar volume, this cleans up really well.
The previous post mentioned an OCD and a Tubescreamer. I use both in isolation and stacked (my TS-808 is a Keeley-modded one) and they work really well together. If you got these 2 used or even went for the Tubescreamer mini (one went on here recently for @£40), you could probably get what you wanted for £120 and cover a lot of ground.
With the bands I've played in, I've generally found more mids (to upper mids) seem to slot in for drive sounds. I've had a similar experience with my home recordings, where the guitar in isolation can sound somewhat middly but it works (and doesn't sound that way) in the full track. Focusing on good guitar sounds in isolation can often cloud an overall mix. However, I like my clean sounds to be more mid scooped.
