I picked up some nice wood today.. Some Black Walnut. But I got more than I needed really.. I went for the long piece for a neckthrough build and had to buy the who length and then I found some of the slabs which are also huge...
So I want to store them properly but I have no idea what that wax stuff is that they put on the end grain to stop it cracking or splitting in storage...
Does anyone know of a good product for that. ?
Heres the wood if anyone is interested

To be fair you can just use leftover paint...
Well I have plenty of paint around
I was also wondering if a coat or two of tru oil would do the trick too? Or would that sink in too deep?
