  • Why did they choose that bigsby? Anything other than a B7 looks a bit weird... The explorer is quite tasty though.

Sorry, but silver and grey have to be the dullest most uninspiring colours for a guitar. The LP studio elite posted by @Rabs in the original post looks static, and leaves me cold. Even a silver sparkle Danelectro is anathema.

Gibson aren't the only guilty party. Fender brought out a Robert Cray signature strat in (boring) grey. Sigh.

The Firebird and the Explorer look fine. The Les Paul looks horrible.

    So £1500 isn’t a premium price tag?

"... premium look and feel you normally only see on instruments carrying a premium price tag ..." - crikey, what do Gibson consider a premium price?

I like the firebird to be honest, not sure why the actual feck they put a bigsby on that sort of finished studio though.

  • Any guesses as to when these will appear in an Amazon blow-out deal?

  • Other than gold hardware - aren't these exactly the same as older models? Except for the "Elite" name of course?

I see the neck carving machine is still stuck on the “Slim Taper” setting...

    The marketing needs tweaking.

Having failed to generate sales with dodgy tuning system here's some shiny guitars, the fsr silverburst.also in this year of innovation we are making p90 les Paul's a black one and a gold one.
