At that price you could also look to pick up something new in the various sales. I know these Yamaha Revstars have been well reviewed as solid, no-nonsense rock machines... https://www.coda-music.com/winter-sale/yamaha-revstar-rs420-fire-red.html
The reason I ask is that the PRS SE One is a single P90 guitar with no tone pot. It only really does one thing - that rude Blues Rock thang through a good quality, high gain, valve amplifier. Even with a Duncan Antiquity pickup fitted, the clean sound is uninspiring.
From within the PRS SE range, there are various permutations of controls, offered in various positions. For many, one advantage of the Bernie is dual volume pots. Not everyone likes having the pickup selector switch on the upper bout. Fortunately, it is no great problem to drill an SE Singlecut or Standard for the third pot.
The "poverty model" version of the Yamaha Revstar would be equally good. A pre-owned example might fall within budget.

Nothing to do with me but ticks a few boxes PRS SE
Its basically a HSS strat. It’s a bit beat up and rough around the edges as it’s been my number one gigging guitar for some time now. However it plays as well as anything I’ve owned and has a great spec on it. Fully setup so really easy to play.
Let me me know if it’s of any interest and I’ll send some pics through.
