Just got to fit the magnetic catches on the back hatches. Here's how the front ended up looking:
Sounds great too
Here's the before and after:
And the 'usual' shots:
1) The Wenge layer showing off the carve
2) The swifts giving a peak of the old colour through the headstock
Genius.
I feel embarrassed reading threads like this, your ability is on a different planet to mine.
If I ever win the lottery (or have no bills), I want to become an intern with a guitar builder, just sit and watch alllllll day
And it makes me think of something ... Is there any reason why I couldn't mount a set of Strat p'ups from the underside? I want to avoid the normal scratchplate on the top, but a rear access cavity - like this bass - would be OK.
I can't think of a reason not to, as long as I get the measurements right of course, and don't have screw tips protruding out of the face of the guitar!
