Yup, sounds valid.
Simples!
@elwood get in here and sort this man out
I need a darker burst and more expensive probably. :-)
Then I will have a crisis over which one to have as the E flat guitar.
Other reasons have included:
it's cheap (2015 LP),
your getting a child, what do I get (Master built tele).
I've wanted one since 1996 (Pink paisley tele).
I have gear to trade for it (JA-90)
I'm doing acoustic gigs now, so should have a back up (Takamine P3)
Though at this moment he has infinitely more guitars than me. Should get one back tomorrow and then my 2018 resolution of owning more great guitars than him begins. Game on.
Now I have to buy more???
And here was me about to give us GAS forever. Sigh.
2) @Elwood and @HarrySeven have more than me so I'd like to compete
3) I like it so what other reason do I need
@guitars4you...
The HarrySeven gear-acquisition rationale/manifesto:
1. I want it.
2. Buy it.
3. Repeat.

"Imagine what my guitar playing would be like if I got that guitar?"
I prefer to avoid too much conspicuous consumption, but this is perfectly fine. A spare guitar dedicated to that other tuning means you'll use that tuning more.
