SOLD: Carvin / Kiesel DC127 - stunning neck through superstrat - £650
Carvin DC127
This is a phenomenally good guitar with exceptional build quality that easily matches a number of other high end guitars I've owned (PRS, Patrick Eggle, Feline, Vigier etc).
As you can see from the pictures, it features a beautiful figured maple top over a maple through neck body with what I believe are alder wings. The 24 fret fingerboard is ebony. Tuners are locking Sperzels and the trem is a Wilkinson VS100 - needless to say, tuning is great and string changes are a doddle.
The pickups are Carvin's own inhouse ones, and the control layout offers a massive range of tonal possibilities thanks to the: master volume, master tone, 3 way pickup selector and a pair of mini switches to coil split each pickup.
Clearly, that all adds up to a great guitar, but it's more than just impressive spec - this guitar plays like a dream with a gorgeous neck, superb set up and really great quality sounds.
It's a perfect guitar for a house band, studio musician or anyone after stunning looks, reliability and versatility... why take two bottles into the shower?
The guitar is in close to mint condition, with just a few tiny indentations, but nothing that goes through the finish or paintwork.
It comes with a proper Carvin case which, unlike the guitar, shows signs of use - there are some cracks and damage to the feet...

Behold, a nugget of purest purple...!
Just listed on eBay at £795, but available here for the marvelous price of £675.
Whoa - is that really a bump for £650!
I can't let it go any less than this, but it is a cracking deal for an amazing guitar. If it helps, I may consider part exchange, so long as at least half the deal is cash...
However, things that I may like to keep could include:
- a relatively small valve combo
- a telecaster
- Jacksons and Charvels
- a Randy Rhoads type guitar
- upright electric double bass
But, open to ideas...
